Format: DVD DVD Editorial Review
ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE (dvd) is an exquisitely crafted vampire drama by Jim Jarmusch that explores the timeless bond between vampires Adam and Eve, played by Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton. Set against a beautifully stylized nocturnal backdrop, the film delves into their deep connection, centuries of shared experiences, and the complications of immortality. The characters, portrayed as soulful and introspective beings, highlight a society disconnected from the appreciation of life. With a captivating score featuring Jarmusch’s band SQÜRL and striking cinematography, this film serves as a reflection on love and existence through the lens of eternal life.
