Ghost Controls Wireless Driveway Gate Sensor is an effective tool for detecting vehicles approaching the gate, offering a more convenient way of opening the gate. The system easily enables autoclose, allowing automatic gate closure after the set time, which can range from 5 seconds to 60 minutes, but the autoclose feature needs to be programmed during installation. The wired sensor cable measures about 10 feet and can be raised if necessary, with the transmitter head providing an additional 100-foot range. However, customers have reported mixed experiences with the product. Installation difficulties, susceptibility to damage from ants and other factors and susceptibility to changing weather conditions are some of the commonly reported issues. Some people also complained of the system beeping noise, the transmitter working within a short range of about 20 feet, and the sensor only detecting vehicles that are within 12ft of the sensor. While it has worked well for some, others have reported issues with the system randomly opening and not responding to approaching cars.
