APOC Swords Editorial Review
The APOC Wasteland Gladius Sword SD35570 is a battle ready sword made by Dragon King in China. The steel is good and the heat treatment is excellent. It has a full tang and intended to be used somewhat abusively. The black coating is black oxide, and scales can be removed using a simple hex tool. The sword weighs 3/4 lb, with a balance more towards the hilt giving it the feel of a one-handed blade but can be comfortably wielded with two hands. The sword is sharp but can be sharpened more if wanted. It is great for self-defense in a home invasion or whatnot. The sheath is also tight solid lockup. However, some customers have reported that it is heavy, and the grip is not too comfortable. One customer reported a quality issue where the blade snapped on the first blade test into a 3/4" wooden rod, which is a dangerous issue.
