The MARATHON General Purpose Quartz GPQ Field Wrist Watch is a field watch with excellent night illumination and a bright, clear tritium lume. It is slightly small and the tritium is already faded, but the quartz movement is quiet and has a utilitarian style. The watch band is stiff but softens up after a few wash cycles. Buyers should be aware that the watch is not very water-resistant and has the potential to have moisture under the crystal. The straps are fixed into the case so switching out the strap for a silicone band is not recommended. Some customers had issues with condensation and Marathon's lack of customer service.
