The best marker to use with this board as recommended by customers is the Cedar markers liquid chalk marker. However, customers have advised against drilling holes or hanging shelves on this particular model as it is not a heavy slate blackboard. Similarly, one should avoid getting it wet or exposed to direct sunlight. Lastly, do note that it cannot be hung with command strips.
