The Grandstream GWN7660 is a Wi-Fi 6 indoor access point that offers features like client isolation, VLAN support, and no subscription fees. The device is a great value and is easy to configure. However, the controller UI lacks basic SNMP options like the ability to set SNMP location or contact information, and certain features like SSH have to be enabled on the AP and disables itself after 48hrs. Email alerting doesn't work with Amazon SES, and some users experienced issues with the pre-programmed firmware update location, as it was incorrect out of the box. The device has a poor user interface, with no real advanced options that aren't related to the radios. On the other hand, many customers have recommended the product over others like TP-link and Unifi, citing the latter's subscription-based service and buggy firmware. The in-built controller provides a single place to configure all devices and offers extra capabilities and dashboards. The device is highly recommended, and customers have found excellent coverage in a wireless mesh with no dead spots. The device is stackable, and its ability to segment traffic for specific purposes, like streaming or VoIP, is highly appreciated.
