ShiftCam offers an in-case lens mount solution for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which unfortunately uses proprietary 12mm threads and is not compatible with other universal lenses. The mount is made of plastic, contrary to the pictures and descriptions that advertised a metal screw ring. Nevertheless, the plastic threads reduce damage to the camera lens and the in-case lens mount solution makes it easy to attach ShiftCam lenses. Despite its cheaper material, the product works perfectly, providing great results when paired with the ShiftCam telephoto lens. However, some customers expressed concern over the wear and tear of the plastic threads and questioned the sense of spending more than $150 on lenses when the mount is made of cheap plastic.
