Product Details
- Mask off areas of work with this colorless, latex based liquid. Use with fluid applications of acrylic color and washes. The perfect medium to block off areas of a painting and let the surface show through.
- Covers areas of your surface to stop color reaching it. Peels off once color dries to reveal a clean surface underneath. Leaves no trace or stain once removed
- Choose a suitable brush/tool to apply to ensure you get the detail you want. Dip your applicator in soapy water before dipping in Masking Fluid - this will make cleaning easier later. Carefully paint onto the areas you want to protect and leave to dry
- Wash your tools with warm soapy water straight after application. Once dry, you can paint color on freely
- Remove Masking Fluid as soon as possible for best results, carefully starting at the corners and peeling back slowly

Liquitex Liquithick Thickening Gel is an excellent medium for mixed media artists and painters that want to achieve oil-like thickness with their acrylic paints. It can be used to create structure and texture in paintings, and it is perfect for palette knife painting. The product does exactly what it claims to do: it thickens paint. It comes in a clear jar and has a neutral odor. The product is very easy to use. It is recommended to mix 1 part of Liquithick gel with 4 parts of paint to achieve the right Consistency. It is advised to mix it well and experiment with ratios to see what works best. Liquithick does not dry out or shrink when it dries. Some customers have reported that it takes a bit of getting used to, and it is crucial not to add too much of the gel as it can retract paint. Nevertheless, the majority of customers stated the product works well, doesn't dry tacky, and can thicken paint well - particularly good for small 3D forms, modelling paint projects, and thickening craft paint. It can be also used to extend the volume of paint and retain brushstrokes or as a "glue" or adhesive for collages. The product is very similar to Golden's gel, but some customers have stated that it works a bit better.
