The adjustable plate holder allows for enough clearance to prevent floor contact when standing the trailer. The steel plate bracket part of the holder is durable, but the pivot mechanism and vehicle mounting bracket are made of plastic, which could be a potential weak spot if subjected to abuse. The bolts provided for the pivot mechanism are too small, but can be replaced with larger ones for easy tightening from the outside if they come loose. However, one customer had difficulty installing the holder as the holes on the top edge do not align with the holes in the plate. Additionally, one customer reported that the holder only lasted for a 100-mile trip and another said that the hinge droops when driving due to the weight of the license plate. But, a few customers said that it's a perfect fit and improved the looks of their vehicle massively.
