It has fine teeth that successfully remove fleas off pets, but the same comb teeth inflict pain on humans and their hair, tearing and cutting it. The comb also has some effectiveness for removing dandruff but requires lots of effort. It's good at eliminating flakiness without breaking hair but is not sharp enough for scraping seborrheic scales. The plastic comb version is a total failure as it is not build to purpose and its teeth don't line up straight.
