This solenoid is advertised as a 100% continuous duty solenoid, but using it for long periods of time may cause it to heat up and create less thrust. When the stroke is 0mm, it has about 0.15N force, and when it's 4mm extended, it generates around 0.4N of force. The no-load current is 200mA. It's tiny and runs hot at 12VDC, but still requires a full 12 volts to actuate. It has a low spring Constant. A customer used it to start and stop a music box mechanism and found it to be ideal for their application. In sum, this solenoid may be a good choice for special applications, but it may not be appropriate for continuous use since it heats up over time. It generates a small amount of force and has a low spring Constant. It's tiny and runs hot at full voltage.
