Nutritionist's Take
Ultra Silver® Colloidal Silver is marketed as a mineral supplement boasting a concentration of 1,000 PPM of colloidal silver. While some proponents claim it possesses antimicrobial properties, extensive scientific evidence supporting such health claims is limited and controversial. Nutritionists caution that the ingestion of colloidal silver can lead to Argyria, a permanent skin discoloration, and other potential side effects, including kidney complications and disruptions to gut microbiota. Additionally, the lack of regulation surrounding supplements may raise concerns regarding the quality and purity of the product. Due to these risks and the need for more substantial research, many nutritionists do not recommend colloidal silver as a safe supplement, particularly for individuals with existing health conditions, pregnant women, or those on specific dietary plans. Overall, consumers should weigh these factors carefully before considering this product as a health solution.
