There are two options to connect the mouse, including using a unifying receiver or Bluetooth. If you have a desktop with multiple USB ports, it is recommended to use the unifying receiver to reduce latency, interference or other issues with other devices. However, for a laptop, it is preferable to connect the mouse via Bluetooth. This mouse is super comfortable to use, has an LED on the top that indicates battery status and the battery lasts for up to two years. Horizontal scrolling can be done via the tilt-wheel, ideal for large spreadsheets, pictures and web pages. The only downside is that it is not rechargeable and uses replaceable batteries. Some customers experience difficulty using the scroll button for extended periods of time and note that the mouse is not silent.
