The glass bottle is made of Polypropylene, the nipple is made of silicone, and the collar is nylon, which are all food grade, FDA approved, and free of BPA, BPS, Phthalates, and other harmful chemicals. However, some customers complain that the bottle leaks sometimes, and the writing on the glass comes off when put in the dishwasher. The 8 oz bottles come with medium flow (level 2) nipples instead of the advertised slow flow (level 1) nipples.
