It has an easy access compartment on the back of the guitar for its active pickups that require a battery. It is fitted with EMG pickups that offer great clarity of sound. However, it only has a 3-way switch and cannot be used as single coils. The guitar comes with a thru-body bridge, but no locking tuner system and no tremolo.
