Jetboil Camping Stoves Editorial Review
The Jetboil Halfgen is a high-quality camping stove with an outstanding build. However, it is expensive compared to other options in the market. This stove is expandable which means additional burners can be added to it. It allows low-temperature and high-temperature cooking with perfect heat distribution of the burner. The carry case and frying pan are nice additions to the kit. It's perfect for camping when you want to bring minimal equipment. One thing to note is that liquid propane should not be introduced into the regulator, to avoid malfunctioning. The 5L pot will function with the base camp system but will not nest together and fit into the storage bag. There's an adapter hose available for connecting a larger 5 lb propane cylinder, but there is no adapter available for connecting to a larger one-gallon propane tank via hose. The frying pan does not come with a lid or cover. Customer feedback indicates that the Halfgen is an outstanding stove that easily outperforms every other stove, even out cooking the house stove. The ceramic pan needed a quick wipe and it was ready to pack, and the temperature control on this thing is amazing. Customers appreciate the piezo ignition, but the flame is not strong and easily blows out, which is something to note. Some customers report concerns in terms of price point, but even though it is Considered quite expensive, customers feel it's worth the investment.
