The RDS Aluminum Auxiliary Fuel Tank is a 20-gallon diesel-specific tank that is D.O.T. approved. It can be used as a gravity feed tank tied into the main tank fill tube, but additional parts may be needed, and RDS also makes a vehicle-specific kit for this purpose. The tank has a visual fuel level gauge located on top of the tank, and the filler pipe stands 2.5 inches above the tank. The tank is well made, with excellent filler and ports, although the welding is not perfect. The mounting brackets are small and oddly offset, so new ones may need to be welded on for certain applications. Overall, this is a decent fuel tank that works well and is recommended by users. It fits perfectly for some applications, such as track dumpers, and it is a good option for those in need of an auxiliary fuel tank.
