It is easy to install and made of sturdy steel, fits any part of the laptop and does not affect its functionality, nor does it elevate the device. The lock adapter comes with two tamper-proof screws which can only be unscrewed by the provided screwdriver. Users can install the adapter left or right of their device and use it with a cover. However, some customers reported compatibility issues with their MacBook Pro models, such as the adapter being too thick to fit the vent groove of newer models where ventilation slots are positioned at the back, making it impossible to attach the edge piece. Some customers who received products that were not Maclocks reported that they were not very secure as anyone with the right key could unscrew the adapter.
