Drama Editorial Review
Great Expectations is a captivating drama that brings Dickens' classic story to life, featuring remarkable performances, especially from Helena Bonham Carter as Miss Havisham. Viewers have noted that the film stays true to the book, capturing many dialogues and scenes authentically, which greatly pleases fans of the original literature. However, some expressed that the pacing feels rushed, particularly at the start, and certain character developments are altered, impacting the depth of the narrative. Despite these criticisms, the film's visual storytelling and strong cast make it an enjoyable cinematic experience for both fans and newcomers to Dickens' work.
