However, clean up is simple and can be done by wiping excess wax with a paper towel. The pitcher can be used on a hot plate for melting wax, and the recommended temperature is not to exceed 185F. Pouring the wax at 130F will make it look nice and prevent it from caving at the top. Some users have reported that they can make small batches of lotion bars in the pitcher too. For those with a high-sided pan, it's best to put something flat and metallic in the bottom of the pot where the pitcher can rest to prevent spillage.
