The Equator ED860 Compact 3.5cu.ft. Dryer is a vented dryer that can be converted into a ventless dryer by using a separate vent bucket attachment. It allows up to 13 pounds of laundry to be dried, and has shorter dry times for smaller loads. It has a 1300 Watt Heating Element and operates on 110v, requiring a dedicated circuit to work properly. The Equator 860 is a great choice for those who have limited space, use it in RV's or boats and can fit easily into small spaces. Despite its compact size, it can still accommodate a family of four’s drying needs, however, it takes more loads to get everything done. The maintenance of the Vent Bucket depends on humidity and usage rate of the dryer. The dryer was delivered with very thin cardboard and styrofoam panels without any substantial framework of wood or thicker cardboard/styrofoam elements, which often resulted in damage during delivery. The drum appears to be rubbing and struggling during its rotation, causing some unpleasant noise and a burning smell after a minute of use, indicating a potential electrical/fire hazard. Additionally, the Equator 860 compact dryer works like a charm; it was sensor dries and is very quiet and efficient. It was easy to set up and delivers excellent results, doesn't use as much power or takes up much space.
