The SunPower Flexible 100 Watt Monocrystalline Solar Panel is a high-quality solar panel that has received rave reviews from customers. It is Constructed with copper backing to the cells which reduces the chance of internal cracking due to vibration. The panel comes with an MC4 connection, and customers have successfully mounted it to their campers, toppers and roofs. It is important to note that this panel is not designed to be walked on. The efficiency of this panel is reportedly 21-25% which is impressive as it is more efficient than most other flexible panels on the market. According to a reviewer with a deep background in PV technology, the panel output at STC was 110 +- 5 Watts, and the overall efficiency was 21 +- 1%. The backing of this panel appears to be white polyethylene, about 3 mm thick and provides excellent support while keeping the panel flexible. The wires and mc4 connectors are of high quality. The panel output is well regulated and able to charge deep cycle batteries and run electronic devices such as refrigerators and freezers. The maximum number of panels that can be put in parallel is four. Customers are also advised to connect the panel to a charge controller to regulate the voltage that gets output by the panel and to prevent short circuit. The Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT charge controllers come highly recommended. The cost of this panel is slightly more expensive, but it is worth it as it is well Constructed and highly efficient.
