The product comes in a resealable pouch in three different sizes: 16oz, 8oz, and 4oz. The particle size is 0.28-0.30 um, and it is composed of rutile mineral form of TiO2. Customers have frequently asked whether the product is food/cosmetic grade or suitable for making sunscreen. The Pantai Team has responded that the PTR-620 Titanium Dioxide TiO2 is not food/cosmetic grade and, therefore, not suitable for making sunscreen. However, it is safe for use in soapmaking. There have also been concerns about the product’s solubility and whether it can be used in 3D Geletin cakes. The Pantai team has clarified that the product mixes easily to form a colloidal solution, and it remains TiO2 in water. Therefore, it is not suitable for 3D Geletin cakes. The product’s name has been confusing some customers who assumed it is cosmetic grade despite the team’s previous clarification. However, they have recently upgraded their product and it is no longer labeled as cosmetic grade.
