This NooElec LNA-SAW module is a low noise amplifier and SAW filter which works well with radio scanners or software defined radios to improve the reception of signals near the Inmarsat band at 1540MHz. It has a gain of over 20dB and a typical current draw of 35mA. It is powered by bias tee compatible devices such as the NESDR SMArTee series. Although there are other similar amplifiers available, NooElec has no plans to discontinue this product despite Outernet discontinuing their L-band service. The product receives positive reviews for its functionality and affordability.
