One of the most significant disadvantages is the gargantuan weight of ~ 2.2 lbs. Make sure that your focuser is able to handle the weight, and you may have to upgrade focusers to prevent the eyepiece from slipping when focusing at targets close to the horizon. Another point to Consider is its utility, which may not be suitable for appreciating smaller objects.
