It works well for 10 frame hives but can be adapted to fit an 8 frame as well. The cover is lightweight, durable, and provides good protection from the elements. It has many gap spaces to provide ventilation, which helps add ventilation through the winter moisture-absorbing covers. However, it doesn't seal like a wooden cover, so it allows moths, ants, spiders, etc. to easily enter the hive and create a bad situation for the honey bees. Overall, this product is a good buy for its price.
