It can be sprayed, rolled or brushed on to provide a very thin coat that ensures the concrete does not stick to the surfaces. It is particularly efficient in preventing concrete sticking on wood, steel, plastic or fiberglass forms. It is not recommended for use with latex forms as oil-based products may deteriorate the forms over time. The product is active as the concrete sets and has a shelf life of 5 years. A gallon of SuperCoat covers up to 1200 sq. ft. for plywood, up to 2200 sq. ft for steel, plastic or fiberglass and also for aluminum or elastomeric urethane. The product has a mild odour that can be avoided by spraying very thin and avoiding pooling.
