The Flash: Season 2 The Flash: Season 2 on DVD offers an action-packed continuation of the story of a young man who develops superhuman speed and uses it to fight crime as a masked superhero. However, the writing in the second season is heavily criticised for relying on repetitive and predictable plot points, including "just believe in yourself" cliches and the overuse of magic instant-technology solutions and computer hacking. More significantly, some of the characters make the same mistakes, such as attempting to negotiate with the bad guys, which could be viewed as unrealistic behaviour in the context of the story. It’s difficult to distinguish whether the issue arises from the TV show's core concept or if this is also present in the comic series. The video and audio quality of the DVD are good, although some reviewers prefer the crisper resolution of the Blu-ray version.
