ZeroBreeze Portable Editorial Review
The Zero Breeze Mark 2 is a battery-powered air conditioning unit that cools and heats a small confined space, best for truck cabs, RVs or small tents. The provided battery lasts a maximum of 5 hours, but there's no way to recharge the battery without turning off the AC. The cost is high, and the unit is not very effective in bigger spaces nor during very hot or very humid weather. For its size and power constraints, the unit performs just as well as it can. It produces true cold air but only within very small areas. The device is powered at 24V and comes with a heavy and inefficient transformer that can heat up the room, lowering the cooler's performance. Reviewers also note the cooling aspect of the device not to be all it is advertised to be. It has two separate air circuits, one that sucks in room air, cools it, and expels it into the room and another that sucks in outside air, transfers room heat to that air, and expels the hot air back out. It works on a basis of cooling BTU per hour divided by electric Watts used with some adjustments for the effects of seasonal changes, so it has a 10 SEER rating. Buyers were disappointed that the product did not work as advertised and customer service and support were not helpful or efficient.
