The X variant is more expensive, but it has more sturdy reeds and a less reedy sound, producing a woodwind-like sound. The action is smoother, and the instrument feels more serious. The black design is stunning, and every hole produces great sound with no issues, responsive and smooth to play. The slider operates quietly and with ease. Apart from not being airtight, it requires a little more air to play than the Suzuki SCX model. However, by sanding the mouthpiece with 400 and 800 grit sandpapers, the leakage problem can be improved. The Hohner Super 64x Performance Chromatic Harmonica is an excellent purchase, and the X variant is even better than the Super 64. It produces beefier sounds and higher dynamic range. **
