Once opened, can I repack the freeze dried chicken into smaller portions in mylar bags with oxygen absorbers? How long will they last?

I have done that, but my kids like to rob them from the storage and eat them like snacks. In my house once the can is open, if I am lucky they last a week. But seriously, I am pretty sure you're good for at least 5 years if you vacuum pack and seal them in the mylar bags.

After opening you have exposed the product to oxygen which is what breaks down the shelf life. We recommend 1 week for best taste and quality. If you aren't able to use it within this time frame you can store it in the refrigerator or freezer to get extended time out of it.

Do you have to freeze this or can you leave it unopened, or leave the unopened parts, in the pantry or closet?

The unopened can is supposed to be good for up to 25 years. After I open a can, the unused chicken gets suction sealed in 64oz glass jars. (I use my seal-a-meal.) Be sure to use a desiccant pkg. They should be good for at least 5 years if keep in a cool, sunless place.

When will the cooked diced chicken be back in stock and available for sale? Why not list that on your advert?

I am not the seller/distributor but in my humble opinion, it is because enough people have realized the economy is falling apart and people want to have food to eat when there is none to be had. Prices are just going up and food will be more scarce in the near future.

Once the can is open, I assume it doesn't go bad if you use a little at a time? We're camping for a week and want to use it all week.

I opened the can and used it in small batches for about a month and it was fine. I kept it in a resealable bag and let the air out of it every time. Hope this helps.
