The bookcase is very stable and not top-heavy, but it is recommended to secure it to the wall if children might use it as a ladder. The back of the bookcase looks the same as the front, although the shelves in front have a decorative beveled edge. However, some customers have experienced issues with damaged pieces, mismarked or missing parts, and difficult assembly. Some have also noted that the shelves look like plastic and not real wood, which is disappointing Considering the high price of the bookcase.
