SMITH Guides & Rollers Editorial Review
The C.E. Smith Pontoon Post Guide-On has received a varied reception from customers, showcasing both the product's effectiveness when used correctly and the challenges some users faced. Many users praised the guide-on's ability to simplify the task of loading pontoons onto trailers. Installation is generally described as straightforward, and very satisfied customers highlighted the significant reduction in stress when maneuvering boats, particularly in challenging conditions like wind or waves. The product alleviated previous frustrations experienced when attempting to get boats onto trailers, with some users declaring it a "game changer" for its ease of use—describing it as one of the best boating purchases they've made. However, not all feedback has been positive. Some customers reported that the guide-ons were unsuitable for specific boat types, like tritoons, or faced issues such as broken caps upon arrival. Additionally, several user experiences pointed towards frustrations with the customer service from C.E. Smith, especially regarding product returns and warranty issues, which left some feeling unsupported. Despite these challenges, many still suggest that the guide-on is a worthwhile investment, particularly for those with compatible boats. In summary, while the C.E. Smith Pontoon Post Guide-On is hailed for its utility and ease, potential buyers should ensure compatibility with their specific boat type and be aware of possible customer service frustrations. **
