The BOSS WAZA Craft Metal Zone Guitar Pedal MT-2W is a versatile distortion pedal that has a lot of potential in the right context. It is highly recommended to be used as a preamp into a power amp or a tube amp. The pedal has great flexibility, going from a vol boost to crunch to a straight-out hi-gain snarl - even at low volume. The custom mode has a more usable mid-sweep and gain, which eliminates the bees in a box sound it is known for. The LED's remove the bees in a can tone. It works wonders when plugged straight into the power amp/fx return section of the tube amp, and the signal is super clean and quieter than the original. The addition of the custom switch should not be underestimated as it keeps that same fun MT2 sound but adds another dimension. The BOSS WAZA is not a clean boost or mild overdrive, so the EQ takes some knob turns to get dialed in. It works well with bass too.
