The product comes in a 12 oz. jar and a 4 oz. tube. The jar is thicker and pasty, allowing for more effective massaging into an area, whereas the tube dissolves quicker after applying. The bottom of the jar has an expiration date about three years out, but there is no date on the tube. The cream is similar to Bag Balm, which is made for horses and cattle originally, and can be used for cracked heels. However, it is not recommended for softening leather.
