Installing this AC Air Compressor is straightforward.
Start by removing the existing compressor, receiver drier or accumulator, orifice tube, or expansion valve. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to flush the condenser and evaporator using a NON-OIL BASED A/C flush. Drain all the oil from the new compressor and dispose of it according to local, state, and federal laws.
It's important to note that if your compressor has a drain plug, you'll need to open it up and drain the oil that is in it as well. Next, install half of the oil charge into the compressor and distribute the remainder throughout the system. Turn the compressor shaft 8-10 full revolutions to ensure that the front seal and other internal parts are properly lubricated.
Continue by installing the new receiver drier or accumulator and the new orifice tube or expansion valve. Evacuate the A/C system for a minimum of one hour to remove any moisture or air. Once the evacuation is complete, add half of the refrigerant charge and let the system set for 1 minute.
This allows the refrigerant to evenly distribute the oil throughout the system. Lastly, start the engine with A/C controls set to MAX AIR, and with doors and windows open. Add the remaining charge of refrigerant as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
