The Photo Emulsion Sheet is a pre-coated and ready-to-use emulsion sheet that adheres to your screen by activating with water. It does not have any mesh count, and each sheet is 38 microns thick. You can use it with pretty much any commercial ink, but specialty inks that contain a lot of mica or a puff additive may cause trouble. However, they work well with water-based textile inks, and the preferred ink is the Jacquard Professional Screen Printing Ink. You need a stretched taut and smooth mesh to apply these sheets, and they turn a matte grayish blue when burned. The sheets do not have emulsion on them; they are the emulsion itself in fruit roll-up form. The opaque portions of your design will be protected from light when exposed to the screen. You can use any light source to expose this sheet, but you should experiment with your exposure time.
