The Monoprice 12 Inch 150 Watt Powered Subwoofer is one of the best under $200 in the market. It is powerful, and, if chained, can provide even better bass output. It uses RCA wires, can connect with PA speakers (if there’s an output), and the maximum gauge of wire that can be used with it is AWG 16. The sub can make a rattling sound if something is stuck in the port or if the speaker grill is not securely on, and the line out is a high bypass. However, there is a slight background amplifier noise and laggy auto on feature. The bass output is boomy, and the sub can’t produce sub-bass below 40 or so, resulting in rough edges. The sub is known for its budget value and easy connectivity.
