Lotmusic Djembe African Drum Bongo Congo Stardard Size Mahogany Goatskin Drumhead (8", Red) is a lightweight and cheap option for those who want to test the waters in playing a djembe drum. The sound quality is decent enough that it won't embarrass the player in a drum circle or acoustic jam, but it is not the best out there. The craftsmanship of the drum is nice, and it is solid wood. However, there are some Cons with the product, including a weird rope handle that can come undone and not great sound quality. The drum is made in China, and although some buyers were disappointed about it not being made in Africa, they loved the product's aesthetics and sound quality. The drumhead has a white-cream color, and despite the seller's claim that it is an African drum, it's made in China. The product is suitable as a travel drum as it's lightweight and small in size. Buyers should tune the drum themselves as there are multiple instructional videos available online.
