The Mishimoto MMSK-BK Weighted Shift Knob in black is a great option for those who want to improve their shifting experience. It is compatible with most manual transmission vehicles and comes with three common thread pitches. However, it may not work with automatic shifters with push-button releases and may be incompatible with some vehicles with pull-up style reverse lockout mechanisms, so it is recommended to check your vehicle's OEM specifications for compatibility before purchasing. The shift knob is heavy, which enhances the shifting process, and of good quality. The height may be higher than some OEM knobs. The installation process is easy, but for some cars like the BRZ/FRS/GT86, an unsightly cap may appear between the reverse lockout piece and the bottom of the shift knob if you do not order a reverse lockout spacer. The knob itself is about 25% larger than it looks in the photos. Also, there are some complaints about the glowing effect on some models, but it is not a dealbreaker, especially for those who want a smooth shift.
