Denmark Editorial Review
"The Nordic Model: Scandinavia since 1945" by Mary Hilson is an insightful book that provides a comprehensive overview of the Nordic countries in five broad topics. The author's explanation of the vastly different origins of the Scandinavian and British socialist movements is very revealing. The book is not a "populist" or "easy reading" style, but if you want the facts, they are all there. The only downside is that the publisher did not prepare the book adequately for conversion to an e-book, resulting in the absence of one figure and some illegible tiny figures and hyphens sitting around in the middle of sentences.
