The CanaKit Raspberry Pi 4 Extreme Kit comes with an aluminum enclosure that provides complete protection for the board. The enclosure does not provide access to interior connectors such as expansion and camera, but it acts as a heat sink which gets warm but never hot. The Pi also has both Ethernet and built-in WiFi connectivity. However, a few users have reported issues with the performance of the board. One user complained that their board stopped reading SD cards after two weeks of light usage. Another user couldn't use the camera connector because of the enclosure's design, while another said that the mail app was not easy to configure, and the Chromium browser won't synchronize with Google Chrome. Despite those issues, one user mentioned that it was easy to install and set up and even used it to play games with a snes30 pro controller. Another user said the kit was an excellent deal for a complete small computer, and a great way to learn Linux. Overall, while the kit comes with some great features, the performance issues reported by a few users make it difficult to give a blanket recommendation.
