The shoes have good heel cushioning for heel strikers and excellent overall fit. Although it is good to get the right fit, some customers have had to go 1-1.5 sizes up from their usual shoe size, especially since the shoes are slightly on the narrow side. Some customers have noted that the shoes can take away pain, and one reviewer with achilles tendinitis and bursitis found relief wearing the Brooks Ghost. There are some issues with durability as some reviewers noticed the treads falling off the bottom of the shoes before a year of use.
