Despite some mixed opinions, the pot is designed to prepare a variety of foods, including cooking vegetables, soups, reheating leftovers, warming milk and cooking morning breakfast oatmeal. However, it is important to note that high-fat content food items such as meatballs and melting butter are not recommended as they are known to blister the plastic. When cooking pasta, it is recommended to fill it with 1 cup of pasta and about 1/2 cup of water. It is also a good microwave pot to cook minute rice as well. One person recommends microwaving 2 cups of frozen veggies for four minutes on high. For chili, ninety seconds, stir, and try first sixty seconds. The pot is not suitable for cooking hamburger meat. The lid does not lock on, and it is important to make sure that the lid is clipped on before draining any excess water. A person got burned while trying to pick it up, and another one was disappointed with the flimsy design and durability of the product. The bottom and the cover are plastic, and the handle is very fragile, which requires using both hands to pick it up when full. A person pointed out that cooking tomato-based products stain the pot. Moreover, the pot might not live up to the durability expectations of some people.
