The Brita Lake Model is a 10 cup water filter pitcher that is designed to filter out impurities such as lead from tap water. It comes with a long lasting filter that needs to be replaced every 2 months or so. The handle of the pitcher can be disassembled for cleaning, however, it does not seem to be easy to clean. The floating lid is a great feature that makes it easy to refill the pitcher. There is an automatic light that indicates when it is time to change the filter. The pitcher is made in Germany and is compatible with long lasting filters. There were mixed feelings about the pitcher not having a spout cover which can lead to mold and debris getting into the water. However, the pitcher has received positive reviews overall for its user-friendliness and water taste.
