The Craftsman V20 7-1/4 inch Sliding Miter Saw Kit is described as a great saw for working with moldings using miter cuts. It is cordless and uses a V20 battery. The battery has a long life and lasts all day. There is also the option to purchase an extra battery. The saw comes with a charger, a carbide-tipped blade, blade wrench, material clamp, dust bag, and 20V MAX lithium-ion battery. It's designed for professional wood cutting applications, Crosscuts, Bevel cuts, and Compound cuts (bevel and angled). It is intended to cut base molding, trim molding, and crown molding. The saw has an aiming light, which is quite useful, and its depth-of-cut adjustment worked great. Customers have complained that it's a little bit heavy and could use a handle on top. The dust collector does not do much, and there is no stand available for the CMCS714M1. Additionally, it's not powerful enough to cut through vinyl flooring, but it works well on smaller wood. The saw can handle 2x4s, 2x6s, deck boards, and the like.
