The backdrop is made of a sturdy, non-reflective, thick cloth that hangs beautifully. It comes folded with creases, but those can be easily removed by a quick spin in the dryer. Brownish in color, Kate's backdrop is great for southeast Asian skin tone. However, be aware that some customers did receive a backdrop that is slightly more green than brown. Regarding the size, it really depends on how the subjects are posed. In the experience of one customer who used a 10x10 backdrop for a church directory, it was more than large enough for a family of seven. Customers seem to have different experiences with the wrinkles. One user couldn't remove the creases even after trying washing, ironing, steaming or stretching and had to resort to either blurring the background or spending a lot of time retouching in Photoshop. Others report that backdrops made of microfiber, such as the Kate brand, are easy to wrinkle, but wrinkles come out quickly when steamed or clamped tightly.
