The Swagman 3 Bike Standard 2 Inch Receiver Bike Rack is an affordable and strong option. Customers were able to install it on their vehicles, including a Prius and a 2014 Wrangler with a spare tire on the tailgate. It supports all 2-wheel bikes, including children's bikes. The hitch pin is threaded, ensuring that the rack will remain stable, and the bikes can be locked to the rack. However, the rack lacks proper lock locations such that the bike can be lifted off by someone who can pry up the upper bracket. Additionally, the upper bracket could be larger, offering more security to bikes and allowing for proper locking. The rack has difficulty clamping in the bikes, and the top clamp plate and rubber protectors might come loose over time. This can result in a gap between upper and lower brackets that ultimately leads to bike detachment. A customer lost almost $3000 worth of bikes due to this design flaw. The manufacturer only stated that it was not a defect. Some customers had no issues with the design and appreciated the rack's quality, sturdiness, and durability.
