The skeleton comes in a secure wood base, along with a removable plastic cover. The dimensions of the case are 14" L x 4.5" W x 7.5" H, making it a great size for display. The skeleton is made with real cat bones and arrives as shown, no assembly is required. However, if you would like to change the posture of the skeleton, it can be taken off its stand, broken apart, put into position and glued back together. Although some reviewers have reported minor issues with the quality of the gluing, for the price it is a good deal. Some reviewers have also noted the tail falling off and cracks on the acrylic case, but most are pleased with the quality and condition of the product.
