This Black Gelcoat No Wax with 60cc Hardener MEKP is a polyester gelcoat that hardens only in the absence of air. It doesn't need a primer on top of old paint, and it can dry glossy depending on how the gelcoat is applied. The product has received positive reviews stating that it produces a nice shiny black finish every time and is great for making parts in molds. The black color helps to hide the color of fiberglass if the paint gets chipped. Additionally, one customer used this gelcoat to mix with a quart of Vinyl Ester resin to make tooling Gel Coat, and it worked great.
